Elgarde — pre-purchase car inspection app · Last updated: 16 July 2026
Elgarde is a self-service checklist, not a professional inspection. A report you create with Elgarde
is a record of your own visual, do-it-yourself check. It is not a certified, legal, technical or
mechanical inspection, and it is not professional advice of any kind.
What this means
You do the checking. Every answer, rating, note and photo in a report is entered by you. Elgarde
does not attend, verify, or supervise the inspection.
No condition is confirmed. Elgarde does not confirm the mechanical condition, mileage, accident
history, legal status, or roadworthiness of any vehicle. A report reflects only what you observed and recorded.
Not a substitute for a professional. A report does not replace an inspection by a qualified
mechanic, an official periodic technical inspection (IPO), or expert diagnosis. Hidden faults may not be visible
in a self-check.
VIN and history data are indicative. VIN decoding and any third-party history report (such as
carVertical or any other partner we may link to, reached via an outbound link) are provided by third parties,
may be incomplete or wrong, and are not guaranteed by Elgarde.
Your decision, your responsibility. Any decision to buy, not buy, or how much to pay for a vehicle
is yours alone and at your own risk.
Our recommendation. Before buying any used vehicle, obtain an independent inspection from a qualified
professional and, where relevant, an official vehicle-history check.
